Annual Leave Rules (BCEA)

  • · Every employee is entitled to a minimum of 15 working days' paid annual leave per 12-month cycle.
  • · Annual leave accrues at 1.25 working days per month worked.
  • · Leave pay = daily rate (monthly ÷ 21.67) × leave days taken.
  • · Leave must be taken within 6 months after the end of the leave cycle (unless agreed otherwise).
  • · On termination, accrued leave must be paid out in full.
